Luncheon With Gov. Doug Ducey – DATE CHANGED TO THE 27TH!
Join us June 27th, 11-2PM at the Tempe Sheraton, 1600 S 52nd St, for a special summer luncheon with guest speaker Gov. Doug Ducey!
Admission is $25 for members (to cover our cost for the lunch and venue) and $50 for guests. For this event only, all guests paying for admission will get a free yearly membership to Tempe Republican Women as well (a $30 value.) Must be a registered Republican woman in Arizona. Republican men and members of other Republican women clubs will be given a free associate membership ($15 value) with purchase of guest admission.
A plated lunch is included with admission. Meal choice is Achiote Chicken. A vegetarian option is also available. Select at checkout.

Debate: Should Marijuana Be Legalized?
This month, don’t miss out on a very special Tempe Republican Women meeting. Marc Victor, Phoenix Defense Attorney, and Bill Montgomery, Maricopa County Attorney, will be facing off in a debate on Marijuana Legalization. Victor will be representing the side that is supportive of legalization and Montgomery will be representing the side that is against legalization.
TRW is very excited to announce that Shane Krauser, constitutional law expert, will be moderating the debate.
This will be an interesting and attention grabbing event. Seating is limited. First come, first served – although confirmed members and associates of TRW will be given seating preference at the front of the room. Marc J. Victor has represented clients in more than a thousand major felony cases including first and second degree murder, sex cases, gun cases, major drug cases, complex white collar cases, federal appeals, and other complex state and federal matters. Jury trial experience includes several murder trials including death eligible matters as well as complex sex cases.
Bill Montgomery was first elected Maricopa County Attorney in a Special Election in 2010 and re-elected in 2012 on a pledge to fight crime, honor victims’ rights, and protect and strengthen our community. As a West Point Graduate, decorated Gulf War Veteran, former Deputy County Attorney and a professional prosecutor, he has dedicated his personal and professional life to serving others.
Bill earned his J.D. from ASU’s College of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the Order of the Coif. As a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, he quickly gained a reputation as an aggressive prosecutor, later serving as a Bureau Chief of the Auto Theft Bureau, which recorded a 35% drop in auto theft under his leadership.
Shane Krauser is the director of the American Academy for Constitutional Education and widely sought after due to his expertise. He is an adjunct professor of constitutional and criminal law, a certified NRA firearms instructor, the chief instructor of K-Force Vanguard and a former prosecutor. He is also the author of Your Nation to Save and is a radio talk show host in Arizona.

Tyler Bowyer is a 7th generation Arizonan, millennial activist, digital marketing professional and former Regent on the Arizona Board of Regents. As a Governing Board Member for Arizona State University, University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University, Tyler investigated long-term strategies to reduce tuition and increase accountability through public university quality assessment standards.Most recently, Tyler was Chairman for the Republican Party of Chandler, Sun Lakes and Gilbert. His team combined a nucleus of GOP activists and provided resources which resulted in the first clean Republican sweep in modern Chandler election history. Tyler and his wife Lauren reside in Chandler with their two children Brooks (5) and Avanelle (6 months.)

Tempe Budget Meeting: The City of Tempe will hold a public forum on Wednesday, Feb. 25 to inform community members about the city’s operating and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the Community Room at the Tempe History Museum located at 809 E. Southern Ave. Be sure to be there to make sure we are sending our city into the right direction.
